Marywood is an independent, coeducational, Catholic, comprehensive institution committed to the integration of liberal arts and professional studies in the context of ethical and religious values.
Founded in 1915 by the Congregation of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Marywood now enrolls more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students. From 1919, when Marywood welcomed its first students, to the present, with its establishment of its undergraduate curricular focus, "Living Responsibly in an Interdependent World," Marywood has been and is proud of its membership in the global community and its capacity to promote well-being among all people.
