Educating Global Leaders: A Program for Korean Students

Marywood University has a long history of commitment to international education, having first welcomed international students to campus in 1919.  More recently, students from Korea have participated in our Intensive English Program during summer sessions on our campus. We are pleased to announce an Educating Global Leaders Program which allows us to provide greater educational access and academic opportunities to students from Korea.

Starting in January 2012 with a 15-week spring semester, the Program also includes two, six-week summer sessions and another 15-week semester in the fall, which concludes in December 2012. Students will engage in coursework that enhances English language skills and choose from a range of credit-bearing courses, according to their interests and preferred academic disciplines. Each student will have an individual academic plan, which could include a research component, as well as the option to participate in trips to major East Coast cities. In addition, Marywood provides all students with academic support services and campus resources to enrich their overall educational and cultural experiences.

As you plan your future, know that the Educating Global Leaders Program at Marywood University can be a valuable part of your education. Your participation will greatly enrich your personal academic portfolio, enhancing international job opportunities, and providing a cultural experience that will last a lifetime. At Marywood, it is our mission to shape students as leaders in service to others, and global education is a key part of that process.

I look forward to personally welcoming you to our campus!

Sincerely,
Sister Anne Munley, IHM, Ph.D.
President of Marywood University
